Re-finished Wooden High Chair

Here is an old wooden high chair that has had several years of abuse from several families. You can only imagine the shape this was in, but since it’s solid wood you can easily refinish it. Here it is when I received it. Now to fixing this little gem! This first thing I did was wipe down down the surface with denatured alcohol to get off any grease or residue. Then I sanded it with 220 sand paper to get it ready for stain. I applied 1 coat of Dura Seal penetrating floor stain in color Coffee Brown. Ole Lorec Ranch Desk

Here is an office desk from Lorec Ranch that I completely refinished. The old wax finish was cheap, very soft, and offered very poor protection to the wood. I had to put a stop to this! First I used a citrus based wood cleaner to strip the wax. Lots of clean rags and patience does the trick!     Then I decided to re-stain the wood with a wood floor stain and sealer in one.
